My 7 year old daughter watched this ALL DAY- I was amazed. I wasn't expecting her to get into it so much. At bedtime, she even asked me to DVR the late night stuff so she could watch it tomoorow after school.
The funniest part is my wife came home from work and sat down to watch an episode with her. About 5 minutes in, the wife asks "So where are they and how did they end up with dinosaurs?".
My daughter turns around and says "Hello, did you not just listen to the song? Marshall, Will, & Holly? Earthquake, boat down the river, wake up with dinosaurs, run into the hole in the rocks? Pay attention!".
I cracked up!Comment

The first episode with Ron Harper just started. Wow, I don't remember the changed theme song and all that. Not nearly as memorable as the original. Been waiting all day to see Alan...er Ron harper.

It's really neat when you see a show you grew up watching reach your kids in a positive fashion. When my kids were young it was neat to watch them get hooked on some of my favorite shows like the Munsters, Lost in Space, Spiderman '67, and even the Groovie Goolies. It just goes to to show you that some programs remain great forever.Comment

It seems as the seasons progressed, they got too complicated to follow.
I also didn't like the sleestacks constantly being the baddies - After a while they got boring.
Watching season 3, I started to missing season 1's light easy to follow stories.Comment

I think I like Season 3 the best, talking Sleestaks and Allan Verdon? I'm so there.
Ron Harper falling off the waterfall makes me laugh every time.Places to find PlaidStallions online: https://linktr.ee/Plaidstallions

Yeah, I'd have to say of the few episodes I watched the later ep's were more fun. I like Harper, but mainly from his work on POTA--so it's fun watching him play basically the same character--they shoulda just called him Allan.
Also, was that JAWS as the big caveman dude?Comment

I read this, and turned it over to Sci Fi to see if my 7 year old might be interested. We've seen the Will Farrel trailer, and I told him it was based on an old TV show. After watching the opening credtis, he was ready for me to turn it back to The Spectacular Spider-Man marathon on Disney XD.
I can't really blame him. No offense to those who grew up with it, but it was slightly before my time, so I have no nostalgia for it. It does seem supremely cheesy, even by 70s TV standards. Shazam! looks like a major motion picture by comparison.
But my son will sit through those horrid, HORRID 40s Batman serials, and even I can't do that!

I meant the acting. I can't blast the CSO effects or else open up someone to attack my beleved Pertwee Dr Who effects shotsComment

I saw that.... yes, it was Jaws.Comment

True, there was a lot of innovative work to get that show out on a 1970's Saturday Morning TV budget. It was really ambitious for the time.Comment
