^^^^ yeah Charlie makes a comment about his not losing weight in an episode where he was trying to get some Peanut Butter from him.....Hurley's answer - he is losing weight he is just so heavy you won't notice for a while but he is a whole belt notch smaller...LOL

I was watching a reality show once. It was an eye opener...they showed the X-ray of a fat person and a skinny person. Looking at the bones without the eyes of a medical technician, both sets of x-rays looked the same. The only way you could tell which one was the fat person was when they showed the shadowing of the rest of the muscles. I thought that was cool. I'm sure bone specialists would disagree.

It is actually a bit of a running joke. They obviously didn't tell the actor playing Hurley to lose any weight and there is plenty of food on the island.

I thought it was hilarious that his job in the Dharma Initiative when they arrived back on the island in 1977 was "Chef". I don't recall ever seeing him in the kitchen cooking anything but has been in there a few times to grab food for himself.
