    --Mars Attacks

Was just watching Mars Attacks last night.

Man, I like this movie a little too much

Strange because it's loaded with bad CGI, but for some reason I don't mind.

I'm with you! Probably shouldn't like it, but I do.

I just had a conversation yesterday and mentioned that I liked Mars Attacks. The remark was met with utter disbelief that ANYONE could like THAT movie.

It's a fun little movie that I watch anytime it's on and I have time.

      I wouldn't call it a favorite.
And I wouldn't go looking to watch it.
But if I come across it flipping chanels, I will stick with it and watch it.

      It's a fun movie.

I like the 1960's Topps Trading card series that this movie is based on.

One of Tim Burton's best, right behind Ed Wood.

I love the Martians in that movie. Great card series, great CGI aliens. I've liked the movie since it came out.

                Nice planet. We'll take it.

I thought the aliens were SUPER-COOL.. Love their sly humor, especially the scene where ol' President Jack gets impaled and they raise their flag... Most of Tim's stuff I can 'take it or leave it', but that was priceless.

A good movie I should own.

If I had mucho more $$, I would have collected all the alien figures. They simply rule.

It's SUPPOSED to be bad. Maybe that helps? They wanted the Martians to look like old stop motion puppets, and had the computer drop frames to get the effect.

Me too; and although I enjoyed the movie, it always seemed strange (considering the source) that they made it a comedy.

Even though I seen Mars Attacks 100 times already, this past time I watched it I had a revelation.

The whole Slim Whitman yodeling makes their heads blow up was lifted from the Andy Divine Twilight Zone episode ... except it's Slim's voice instead of Andy's harmonica.

I totally got the idea behind the movie when I saw it, but I have to say it is on my worst films list and do not plan on ever watching it again. I also should say that I am not a big fan of Tim Burton movies in general. Not my type of humor, sorry guys.
                          It's all good!

For some reason I don't count Mars Attacks as a Tim Burton movie.

I have no idea why, but it just doesn't feel Burtonesque and that's why I like it.

Unlike most of Burton's movies that basically rip off an old idea and change it into something unrecognizable and Burtonesque --- Mars Attacks doesn't do that.

Attack's is basically a straight foreward comedy/homage to 50's sci fi B movies.

It's definitely a strange yet hypnotic movie. YOu look at it and say, "This just looks like it's gonna suck" yet you can't stop watching it. It definitely has it's moments but some of it is over-the-top, eye-rolling cinema for sure. Not a movie I've bothered to purchase so far but I wouldn't be surprised if I picked it up if I saw it for a few bucks.
