    Yoda all the way.

He wouldn't even need to use his light saber... just calm Godzilla's brain the way Anakin did to the reek in AOTC (Ep. II), and subdue the tiny brained-beast...

... before riding the radioactive lizard into battle against the Droid Armies! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

I have to give this one to Yodel.

Yoda could use the force to just make Ziller's heart stop.

But then again, why didn't Yoda do this in the past to his enemies ?

Oh yea, because he's stupid -- I forgot

It kind of depends on whether you're talking about Prequel Yoda or Original Trilogy Yoda. While OT Yoda was somewhat frail, he was still very strong in the Force. I think rche's daughter is on the right track. Godzilla rampages, but he's really not a bad guy. To use a D&D reference, you could kind of classify him as a chaotic good character. I think either incarnation of Yoda would first try to calm him down using the Force. Despite Godzilla's size advantage, Prequel Yoda was fast and agile, and could easily jump/run up to his head or neck and take him out using either a lightsaber or some kind of Force technique. For OT Yoda, it might be a little more difficult if the aforementioned calming attempt didn't work. I don't know if he'd be quick enough to take out a rampaging monster with a lightsaber, so it would be a matter of whether he can avoid being stomped on long enough to throw vehicles, knock down buildings etc until Godzilla's worn out.

    The Force is so overrated.

Yoda could barely lift an X-Wing fighter off the water.

    You think Godzilla fears that?

    Again...Godzilla ia NUCLEAR-POWERED monster.

    3 steel doors? Big deal...lol.

The Japanese air force can't even scratch the surface of the big lizard.

Again, you think a little lightsaber is gonna do anything?

    big green and little green.

My daughter is closing in on 5 and very interested in smashing the hell out of things and taking stuff apart to see how it works.... etc, etc.

She has also been subjected to talks about old Star Wars and new and the subtleties and differences there. Old SW Yoda did not carry a saber - he did not need one. His ally was the force; etc. She is also fairly savvy on the description of the force as a thing that 'binds all living things together'.

I think she took the logical step there and was asking me a brain vs. brawn question.
If Yoda has this magical helper, then can he whup up on the big guy. The big G is a living creature - could he somehow be tamed or turned by the force? This theme is touched upon in many myths old and new wherein the underdog is able to overcome a supposedly superior adversary.

I thought it was a pretty good question for a little girl.

I told her I wasn't sure what would happen and asked her to tell me what she thought would go down if they got snippy with each other.
