I saw the Star Tek Trailer Today, when I went to see James Bond...it's even better on the big Screen!!!!

I am looking forward to this movie more and more. who cares if it is not exactly true to the already established cannon. Every Trek series played with established cannon and changed what did not work for them.

I can't enjoy a Star Trek movie based on the Classic series that doesn't contain ANYTHING from the Classic Series.

In A Piece of the Action, Kirk acts as if he's never driven a car before.
That was set AFTER this movie.

The difference must be that in Piece of the Action, that car was a stick-shift. In the trailer it must be an automatic.

Which leads to the mental image of Spock looking at Kirk trying to drive, cocking the eyebrow, and saying "If you cannot find it, grind it."

Yuck.

The car stuff in the beginning was lame. The rest didn't feel like Trek at all. This looks to be the first Trek I don't see in the theater. That's ok with me- JJ Abrams in may interviews claims to have never been a Trek fan. I am.
