I was watching some old tv show the other night and was looking at the cool guns and wondered what would be peoples top Sci-fi Guns? Mine are

1. Varians blaster - from the Fantastic Journey

2. Stunner - from Space 1999

3. Sandman Blaster - From Logans Run

4. Ray Gun - Flash Gordon serials(the one with the nuckle duster attached )

5. Phaser - From the original Star Trek (type one and two)

6. Visitor Blaster - From V the series

7. Liberator Pistols - From Blakes Seven

One thing I like about the Space 1999 gun, when it runs out of power, you can use it like a pair of brass knuckles

These are all intimidating hardware that you know you don't want to be on the wrong side of (for you 'Hitchhikers Guide' readers..)

Let's start off with the best phaser RIFLES..

1) Trek TOS Phaser Rifle ('Where No Man Has Gone Before')

2) Space:1999 'Laser Rifles' with side hand grip in front.. ('rocket guns'..?)

3) Trek Next Gen Phaser Rifle (circa Yr5/6)

4) Space:1999 Stun Gun (not all that macho, but still honorable mention for different cool design..)

5) Logan's Run Sandman Blaster

6) Star War's Han Solo Blaster

7) V's Visitor laser

8) Trek TOS Type 2 Phaser (w/handgrip).. Nothing compares with tried and true classics, folks.

I'm talking pure attitude here.
