Embarrassingly quick google search shows me there was a Mecha Ghidorah in 1991-

I saw it last night and it was a lot of fun. As others have noted, the Kaiju portions were great with a wild final battle. It felt like there more monster time than in other movies. As for the human story, it definitely could've been better. The premise was OK, but the dialog could've been better.

A personal point of interest and possible ***SPOILER ALERT***- there's one shot at Fenway where you can see my apartment building in the background. When I look out my balcony, I'm looking at the stadium. I'd have had a ringside seat for the action. That said, I would have been one of the first collateral victims in the destruction.

ALSO- is there a Mecha Ghidorah in the Godzilla universe?

Saw it last night. Agree with the human story. Too distracting and unnecessary.
Screen time Godzilla was great. Wish more was focused on the monsters but understand budget and production limitations on making an all out kaiju mayhem movie.
Looking forward to the Kong v Godzilla. A lot of reference to that in this movie so hoping that is better.

I've got tix for imax tonight, can't wait.

My problem with every Godzilla movie is the human story.

Saw Godzilla: KOTM today. Very enjoyable. Some truly epic kaiju battles in this movie.
The Big 'G' gets slightly more screen time than he did in the first film.
The obligatory human story is serviceable, albeit somewhat contrived.
The score uses Ifukube's famous Godzilla theme to good effect, too!
(Stick around until after the credits for a brief coda.)

I hadn't seen the first two movies in the Legendary MonsterVerse and decided to get caught up ahead of "Godzilla:KOTM" based on digging the trailer and then being jazzed for "Godzilla Vs. Kong". Planned to get them from the library, but found them both in the $5 DVD bin at Walmart. I was just browsing the bin and was surprised to find them both within seconds of looking in the bin. "Kong: Skull Island" was $5, but "Godzilla" rang up at $3.74 for some reason. Anyway, have some of my viewing material for the upcoming long weekend.

I wish they would have improved Godzilla's posture.

As he is he stands and walks like a hunchback

Saw Mothra today, quite colorful compared to the others.

I just read that "Godzilla vs. Kong" is scheduled for next year with Millie Bobby Brown and Kyle Chandler in it, too.

That is a pretty convincing trailer! Pretty cool arrangement of "Over the Rainbow" and the ironic use is unsettling and ominous.

I've seen Mothra in stores from Bandai and whoever is making the movie stuff. It all looks kind of blah tho.

^Oh yeah. Big part of the film.

Reviews are highly positive. They seem to confirm the other new titans are seen throughout.
