Now if they choose to surprise us and the last episode of the season is "A Very Negan Christmas", or "How the Negan Stole Christmas". I think the rest of the season could be forgiven.

    Those above shirts are cool....

I thought you might appreciate it. Found a site that sells them, but don't know anything about their reputation.

Below is the best photo I could find of him with it on, and below that is a full view of the actual shirt.

I recognized the source photo immediately (and figured you would too), but ended up having to pull out a copy of the album to show my other half that it was what it was.

For whatever reason, the fingers on the left hand are altered, but the right hand is pretty much faithful (save the thumb being visible).

I'm with ya on TTD. We generally don't watch it anymore either, but since this week's show had Cassandra Peterson as a guest, we watched.

Quite true. Would Negan's "very special episode" and the Lost reference sorta count? The implication is he's going to have crossed paths with previous guest stars. Wolves and Terminus seem the most likely, but could it be even earlier, like Coma Rick days? Did Negan meet Shane or Merle? That would be super-Lost of them.

The Tara actress was getting attacked by internet trolls...they were pointing out her weight gain (she just had a baby in real life). She fought back...but it's a losing cause, you are not going to win that war...faceless trolls have nothing to lose, she does...just asked that Ghostbusters actress.

The thing though, and this is definitely not an attack on her, I shouldn't talk, I'm overweight...but her weight gain did interfere with her Tara character. As she was slim in the beginning, now she's heavier...in a zombie apocalyptic world, were food is scarce and you have to be very physical (fending off or running away from Walkers)...it sort of messes up the continuity of the character.

I remember first hearing about this production necessity way back in the Star Trek TNG days.. exact same deal..

"Bottle show" is a production term for episodes which take place mostly on existing sets and do not generally involve major guest stars. The term itself is derived from the notion of "bottling up the action." (Inside Star Trek: The Real Story, paperback ed., p. 253) Equivalent terms are "ship shows" and "bottle episodes". (The Fifty-Year Mission: The Next 25 Years, p. 119) In such installments, action and special effects are often minimized. (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine...

It's been confirmed, by JDM at least, that Negan will be back for Season 8. That could mean a lot of different things, but for me it means I'll finally be taking it off my DVR programming. :/

Yep. That's the problem with block writing - blocking in production and writing towards that to meet budget.

It restrains editing because you have to follow those story beats. Logically, the episodes should have cut between ASF, Maggie, Tara, Darryl/Negan, Morgan/Kingdom...but that requires more shooting coverage.

I give them credit for how complicated it is to work with so many moving parts, but the cost of CG Shiva and this many cast members/locales requires longer episodes per week. Tara spliced with Darryl's solo ep would have been my call.

I liked the Daryl episode pretty well, until I realized that all happened during a three day window. The Hilltop episode was pretty bad, the end was fine, but the rest was eh... Tara's episode was ok as well, but it didn't have to be a full episode. We only have two more left and I guess that's the problem I have. I bet most of the actors are feeling this was as well, since they are all part time right now.

You want scary? Gimple said when they do Negan's bio episode, it's going to be very Lost-ish and they may have to bring Damon Lindelof on to do it. That is when the show really loses its audience and becomes Lost or X-Files; shows where the audience drop is so big, they have to promote the final season as a way to bring people back.

Btw, when they do introduce a new concept (like the Kingdom), they then wander off and no longer address that for several eps. Really annoying.
