So... as someone who has a pretty spotty viewing history of classic horror movies, what would you guys say are the "Must See" movies on that list?

^Ooh, that's a good one. Not a great one, but if you like Cushing, it's a great show piece for him. He's a bit more likable as the Baron in this one.

                  Updated.

FX and Spike are having marathons at the end of the month, but I can't find decent details.

Disney primetime has a lot of Halloween-themed shows. I might list just the new ones.

FX's scehdule is an absolute disaster to try and read. Utter crap layout.

Stunned that FEARnet nor Chiller, which is an NBC Universal channel, are not airing any of the other Uni classics. This might be the first year since the dawn of cable that Wolf Man, Creature, Invisible, and the sequels do not get aired. manoman...

Anything Universal or Hammer is the best place to start.

Hammer - Horror of Dracula, Curse of Frankenstein, The Mummy

Universal - Frankenstein, Bride, The Mummy

                        Other recommendations people?

I'd add the Wolfman and Abbot and Costello Meet Frankenstein for Universal. Ghost of Frankenstein and Son of Dracula are quite good as well. The rest are fun. I like the very formulaic Kharis Mummy films.

For Hammer, I'd throw in Brides of Dracula, Curse of the Werewolf, and the Reptile of the early stuff. I'm a sucker for The Vampire Lovers of the later, more...provocative material.

Definitely, but I should have said from what TCM's showing.

Unless we go the Netflix/Amazon/Hulu Streaming route.

If you have young kids, they must watch Mad Monster Party. It's Rankin-Bass stop motion.

I watched Abbot & Costello Meets The Mummy last year. UGH...

A&C Meet Dr. Jekyll & Mr Hyde, and A&C meet The Invisible Man, are enjoyable. Not as good as Frankenstein, but the premises still work.

For streaming and rentals, I'd suggest Monster Squad, Frankenweenie and even Hotel Transylvania
