If you don't like gore then what did you think of the originals?

The originals weren't gory for gory's sake...that's not what stuck with me from the films. The quirky nature, the humor, the one-liners, that's what made the films to me.

Maybe this film has more to offer than it seems, but right now it seems par for the course with modern horror flicks, whereas the first films were a breath of fresh air amongst the endless slasher films of the 80s.

I finally seen this movie.

IMO, It wasn't terribly bad, but it could have been a lot better.

All the creepiness of the first movie has been removed and replaced with non stop action and gore.

It's like watching a full length porn movie, after about ten minutes you start getting bored.

I watched this and "Cabin in the Woods" last week. Couldn't finish this, it wasn't for me.

^I've still not seen this, and I'm in no hurry, based on everyone's reactions. Seems Evil Dead in name only.
