As an aside, wasn't there ANOTHER remake/reimagining.... late 70's/early 80's called "1313 Mockingbird Lane?" I can recall one, but not well. It might have been a pilot only, aired once and forgotten. Anyone else remember this?

Think of how little this show now has to do with the Munsters concept already.

The only common ground is "Normal Girl lives with family of Monsters". As if Pat Priest was the star.

Agree that My Own Worst Enemy was awful... Particularly since Slater really did nothing to differentiate the two characters.

However, Jekyll by Stephen Moffat, starring James Nesbitt was terrific fun.

Looks and sounds, to me, like they are trying "re-imagine" the Munsters into a "re-imagined" Addams Family.

First, the Munsters are not, & never should be, an ersatz Addams Family--that is practically sacriligious & Tee Addams, Charles' widow, should have the lawyers at the ready.

Second, I can't say I won't watch this, but I was really hoping that Jerry O'Connell would end up playing Captain Marvel, not Herman. He's an engaging and likable actor, but this "reimagining" seems ill-advised.

My feeling is if you really want to do the Munsters, do just that. But if you actually want to do something new, then do something original. Because this is neither.
