I watched part of Bride last night. I wonder how many people were freaked out by those little people in the glass jars when it first aired in theaters? -
I've been DVRing the heck out of these movies. The great thing about TCM is no commercials. I'm going to be able to fill in some of the holes in my Hammer collection this weekend!

AMC's also running a bunch of horror films this weekend. Karloff's Mummy at 5:30 am CST and Bride of Frankenstein at 7:15 am CST are playing on AMC Saturday morning. Bride's being replayed around midnight Saturday.Leave a comment:

^^^ Well done! That is correct. In the first film, they never showed or mentioned the full moon. It was only vaguely referenced in the old gypsy chant, but not directly linked. It was only in the subsequent films that the full moon was indicated in the myth and shown when Larry Talbot changed.Leave a comment:

Here's some horror trivia for everyone. What is the one thing you never see in the Wolfman that is in all subsequent sequels? It may surprise you...Leave a comment:

Just watched Jeckl and Hyde with the boy and wife. Haven't seen it in years and years. Great flick that still holds up today. The transformation effects are very impressive for the time. Between this and Frankenstein, which were released within a year of the original Dracula, it just goes to show how inferior that film is. I love Bela, but the movie is so flat, way too much like the stage play. I know I'm not saying anything that hasn't been said over and over about Browning's Dracula, but Jeckyl & Hyde just hammered it home some more.
