Haha - I have that tape too!

I agree, and I believe the show was on shaky legs in season 2 the moment Lynch took off to do "Wild At Heart". All that stuff with James and the older woman with the Jaguar? Blechhhh!!!

I think the second season got "padded" when they added the other diary that guy had, (was his name Albert?). Totally a waste to introduce this other guy w/other diary. They should have kept the focus on Dr. Jacobi,(?), to reveal more secrets. Jacobi got his head bashed in on the cliffhanger and they didn't use him much after that. Lynch should've had more appearances too. He was always very funny.

Then they revealed Bob was a spirit that possessed Leland. Bad move. Then they killed off Laura's look-a-like and Leland and Wyndom Earl, worse move. They should have kept the audience guessing as to Bob/Leland. Was it a spirit or psychological? Don't give up the answer so easily. Let Leland escape and then search for him. That would give you a reason to go wandering into all those caves with the wacky art.

Any love for Fire Walk with Me?

I understand why they went with a Prequel to try and expand the audience, but there were so many story elements left hanging that it would have been nice to give a bit more to the fans of the show.

Agent Coop was the best character of the show and because it's a prequel he's barely in it - and to me Laura was only really interesting because she was enigmatic - so the whole concept of the movie is flawed to me.

I think there's some brilliantly written scenes in it. Some really great shots and visual ideas, but overall, meh.

In terms of loose ends, I thought I heard Lynch state pretty clearly at some point that Bob took Cooper soul and that's that. It is depressing, but it's also the end of the story.
