I loved the first one, six women duking it out with creepy crawlers in a cave, so I decided to try this one, seeing that most of the original team was back.
Well, Marshall should have directed himself.
The feel was all wrong. It felt like a cheap knock-off.
These caves (which should be the same as before) are nice and cosy and dry. Well-lit. Not like the old caves, which were cold, wet, claustrophobic. It didn't have that "dark ages" feel anymore. Add the stereotype narrowminded cop, of course.
I don't know, after ten minutes I was bored already.
Apparently, the team felt the same, because halfway through, they went for extreme gore (never seen so many necks being ripped out), and all the moody feel from part 1 was gone.
And why did the surviving two women of part 1 suddenly have a beef over hubby sleeping with her best friend? Was that even hinted at in part 1?
I hate sloppy sequels....
