    >it's your call dude,it's a good film and I'm sure you'll enjoy it

I dunno.... way back in the day I had a couple of friends who were REALLY into the Anne Rice thing; and I'm kinda Eurotrash Vampire'd out now. I miss the old "they're evil monsters" kind of thing. For the last 15+ years EVERY vampire has been hip, suave and sexy.

Not that it isn't a perfectly plausable way to write a vampire character; but it's been done so many times as of late that I can't concieve of a new take on it. Same with the "chickflick" angle; I've seen enough chick flicks that I KNOW how it's gonna play out. (Although I've been told that "rival male who's just as suave, hip and sexy but NOT a jerk who female lead falls for until other suave, hip sexy male comes around" doesn't show up until the next movie.)

This kinda sums it up for me:

If 'Twilight' Was 10 Times Shorter And 100 Times More Honest | Cracked.com

    >I had picked up a copy of "It's Alive" awhile back

The one with the mutant baby! I haven't sen that one in a zillion years!

I had picked up a copy of "It's Alive" awhile back and finally sat down to watch it tonight. The whole time I kept thinking that Brian would probably love the goofy wallpaper and terrible 70's fashions throught the movie

I picked up a double feature DVD this week. It contains both "The Land That Time Forgot" and "The People That Time Forgot", both starring the legendary Doug McClure. Few things soothe my soul like goofy rubber dinosaurs and hammy acting

Just picked up Revenge of Frankenstein and The Return of the Vampire at Big Lots for $3 each. I put back Brainstorm (Natalie Wood) and decided to just get the two classics.
Haven't watched Vampire yet but did watch Revenge. Wasn't overly enthused about it. Was disappointed there was no real Monster in it. If Peter Cushing wasn't in it I would've been bored for the most part. I guess that explains why I've never heard of it nor seen it before? LOL. It is the sequel to Curse of Frankenstein. They should've brought back the Chris Lee monster for this one.
Not even any special features other than the trailer (which was better than the movie, LOL). Hoping Vampire is better. I haven't seen that one yet either.

I got it at Big Lots for $3 a few months ago. If Chris Lee is your Dracula then it's a must-have. I liked it. In fact I've been thinking about watching it again soon. Obviously has a bit of a dated look/feel to it (Groovy, Man! and the early 70's obsession with occult themes) but it's cool and it has Stephanie Beacham !! and Peter Cushing in it.
