New horror host project

Hey horror fans! Once upon a time ago I did a short term horror host thing. Long story short I'm wanting to bring it back to the little TV station I'm at now. I've got a cast of characters and some ideas but thought "Hey, why not hit up some of you horror heads about some ideas?"

So what do you think? Can you help a brother out? I really want to do a good show that is equal parts vintage, campy, and modern. Suggestions?

Thanks in advance guys and gals. Plus if you kick in an idea that I use I'll throw your name in the credits and hook you up with a DVD of the show it was used in.

No, not at all. Just some healthy ribbing between me and Dave.
I'm sure if he sees your thread, he'll have some ideas for you, and then some more... And then some more... And then some more... And then some more... And then some more... Gotta love our resident Ape General!!!!

you just following the basic format ala Wolfman Mac, Dr. Paul Bearer, Svenghoolie and the rest of skits during movie breaks? Not really sure what any modern stuff would be since it seems that all of the classic and current ones seem to be cut from the same cloth. The only one to really stray from that was MST3K.

Have local bands perform during breaks. They can dress up in costume and Rock out. Thats always cool.

Not sure if you have a scary Local Legend, but if you do they can be a character as well. Ohh and definately use a fog machine to help with the spookiness.

Yep. Always good to see someone continuing the local horror host tradition!

Do Comedy Skits in between breaks (I always loved that sort of thing) Also get a local pizza shop to sponser a few free pizza's and have a pizza eating contest and you can crown them the "Horror shows Champ" and you can hold one each week.(Fun idea and you get free pizza)

Also you can put a set together and have fans mail in art or props that you can use to build the set

A guest appearance by former Iconic hosts would be really cool as well.Or former actors from scary movies.
Old timers may even do it for free?

do fake commercials, too. Maybe for stuff that were Wacky Packages?
