What's your fav AIP movies ?

    American International Pictures

They pumped out some pretty crappy stuff ... but also made a few gems.

My favs are their Hammer-style knockoffs ...

    Tales of Terror

    The Raven

    The Premature Burial

    etc.

Anything based on Edgar Allan Poe, and pretty much anything with Vincent Price in general

Love the Poe - Price - Corman movies.

I'll say The Masque of the Red Death, besides Price as the lead, they worked in the Poe story Hop-Frog(a fave of mine) and it has Hazel Court too.

Oh, I don't know but I did just watch The People That Time Forgot which I noticed was an American International Picture. Not sure if The Land That Time Forgot (of which TPTTF is a sequel) is an AIP or not but I would assume so.

I was surprised at how good Blacula actually was. I expected utter cheese, but it's not bad!

Back in the mid 70's my local theatre played many of the classic AIP Vincent Price movies as Saturday matinee's ... It was great seeing them on the big screen and it's why I have a special place in my heart for those movies today.
