Favourite Dario Argento film?

suspiria and zombie!!

Yeah, Fulci directed ZOMBIE (aka ZOMBI 2) although Argento did completely re-edit Romero's DAWN OF THE DEAD (which he co-produced) for the European market and retitled ZOMBI. Confused yet!

My favourites are SUSPIRIA (the colours, the sounds, the murders!), PROFONDO ROSSO (one of his better stories and great soundtrack), OPERA and TENEBRE.

Suspiria for me.

I like Phenomena and Mother of Tears has one of the most creatively sick murders ever.

I think Zombie is Fulci. I guess I like Suspiria the best, but I always wish Argento would have someone else script his ideas, because he's a better director than writer.

I like all his films but i think Suspiria is superb.

That scene at the start where the girl is walking towards the automatic doors and everything is so quiet inside whilst the raging storm goes on outside and each time the doors open you get an idea of what she is walking into is the best example of foreboding ever.
