Awww Damien, I'm so sorry. Losing a pet is a really sad thing. At least she isn't suffering. RIP Mimi.

Hey D, I regret to hear of your most recent loss. I am an animal lover in general so I am feeling your pain. I do think that it is great that you did what you did. You gave it your best shot and that is all that one can ask. I truly do believe that Mimi felt the same as well and knew that you would and did everything that you could do to save her. I know what it is like to lose not only a dog, but a true companion. Twice. I had two dogs in my in the past and I still cannot help, but miss them just as you do Mimi. Atleast you still have the wonderful memories of her to hold on to. It will of course take some time to get over such a tragic loss, but the pain of your loss will eventually lessen as time does heal. Best of luck to you and your family as my thoughts and prayers are with you and Mimi.
Enjoy what you like, and let others enjoy what they like. (C) Azrak 2009

I'm sorry to hear of your loss. At least she was loved had you to care for her before she passed away.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

That's awful man. But I am glad the puppy found people that were willing to fight for her life after such a short time.

You ought to go and rescue a new puppy from Lollypop Farm in the other puppy's honor. It will help with the grief too.

                Sorry D.
We lost our Rabbit a few weeks ago.
My kids are still upset about it.
We now have about 500 drawings that they have done.
I'll need to a tree soon.

Animals have a way of making you feel more human.
                My condolences.

Man, always a bummer to lose a pet. I don't care if it's a goldfish or a great dane. You did right and I feel for you. Best Wishes!!

I've had four dogs now, all "rescue dogs".
They have all been sweet, gentle pets.
Those mutts have had a rough (start to) life, and believe me, the affection you get from them is amazing.

When I still lived in the big city, I went to the pound and took dogs for walks. Believe me, I would have taken each one home.

"Mutts" is a great comic about shelter animals, and they have a photo gallery.

Sad news. It strikes home for me because my oldest dog is 10 years old, and I'm watching his health very closely. He's an Irish Wolfhound cross, and for a wolfie that's old. You can always measure the worth of a man by how he treats a dog.

Mimi was with you long enough that she'll be waiting for you at The Rainbow Bridge.
