its a very very serious blood disease that kills most puppies that get it.

Sorry for your loss, Damien. But you and your family did right by that puppy and showed her love. That's what matters, and what makes you guys good people.

              Hey, man.
Sorry to hear about your loss.
My wife and I can't have kids, so our dogs are our family.
When our last two dogs died, within 24 hours would you believe it, we were gutted.
It took us two years before we adopted another dog from the shelter.

My heart goes out to you.
One important thing; that little pup was loved at the end. It passed away with people caring for it. That makes a huge difference.
You're a great guy in my book...

                      Oh man, that sucks.

I'm sorry for your loss, Damien...you did everything you could...the vast majority of people wouldn't have paid that kinda money to save a doggie, especially one you had just picked up...that tells me a lot about you. You my man have a heart of pure GOLD.

D, Sorry to hear about your puppy. Made me teary-eyed. Glad nobody walked in my office. You did what you could. At least the puppy was loved. That's what counts in the end. I better stop now...it's just breaking my heart.

Sorry for your loss D. Pets give us so much without asking for anything in return.

Damien, I am so sorry to hear of your loss.

Some people that do not own pets do not understand that the loss of a beloved pet is every bit as painful as the loss of a child or family member.

But I dare say that on this message board, you will find nothing but sympathy and well-wishes during your time of grief.

We are your friends here, and you are not alone.

My heart goes out to you, your family, and of course to Mimi.

But please take some solace and comfort in knowing that you made Mimi's final days warm and confortable and joyful with your loving company.

She did not pass on alone, discarded, un-wanted or hungry. And she will live-on in your pleasent memories and thoughts of her.

In the short time she was with you, she carried a tremendous amount of love and affection for you due to your kindness and compassion for her.

It is difficult during your grief, I know, but DO try to remember these things. They are a celebration of our connections to all creatures around us, large and small, and of the goodness and kindness in your own heart.
