    My puppy passed away today

    Hey guys

today's a sad day for me,last Saturday night when coming back from Universal I see a puppy outside my house drinking water from a puddle and starving to death,so we give her food and let her stay with us for the night to see if she belonged to someone in the morning.Well this little cutie stole our hearts in just one night. We walked her and no one said anything so we kept her

She was the best pup,if 100 times you got up 100 times she'd get up and follow you around. She'd lay next to you and flip over so you could scratch her belly all day long

well she started getting sick a couple of days ago and we took her to the vet,he told us she had some virus, something with a V I'll post it later. That could be deadly to pups,he said it would cost $850 to treat her and keep her for a few days and run some tests,we didn't even think about it twice and payed it ..well we called today in the morning and she had passed away

It's so sad,I can't believe how in only a few days an animal could make you feel like this.I feel like an idiot but I can't stop tearing up,I just feel like maybe if I would've taken her sooner you know...or if she was lonely thinking that we just left her there to die.I don't know I guess I'm talking out of my *** here...I'm just really sad

thanx for listening and please send a little prayer her way,her name was Mimi

Damien, I am so sorry to hear this :( I reckon she is still hanging around you in spirit, giving you little licks, and loving you. There's nothing anyone can really say to take your pain away, but know that I am thinking of you and your girlfriend, and will say a little prayer for Mimi.

As a hard core dog lover, I can say I would have done the exact same thing. I am very sorry for your loss. All you can do try. I would encourage you to get another dog when you are ready. They give so much, and ask for nothing. Best wishes.

That's so sad. But you gave her a happy life in the end, even it was a short one. And you are blessed with great memories of her now.

aww poor mimi, my nan had a pup called mimi when i was a kid

maybe its a sign... she passed on but maybe she was ill and just needed a bit of love and care and then she went walkies off into the light

im thinking you should get yourself a little pup now, not a replacement but because you seem to have a good heart and lil dogs need good homes

go pick a lost pup up, you will know which one it is when you see it

            rip mimi

              Very sad.

But I think it says a lot about you, that you took her in and are taking her loss so hard. I hope you can take some small comfort in the fact that you probably made her final days, the best days she probably saw.

              Take care,

              Chris

Loss is heartwrenching when you become attached. Sorry to read it. At least the pup doesn't feel any more pain. But I know that doesn't make you feel any better.

                        very sorry to hear this
i'm a hardcore dog lover also
hardest thing i ever had to do was put down my first bullmastiff due to bone cancer.its been almost a year and i still find myself tearing up about it.
anyone who says you are stupid to cry isnt human
when my shandi needed tplo surgery i didnt think twice either
some people actually thought i was crazy to spend $4400 on a dog surgery and i should have just put her down! i would reply would you put your kid down if they had a broken leg or something? they are my kids and i would do anything for them.

mimi and you are in my thoughts

Another hard-core dog lover here, so I completely understand how you could get so attached so quickly. Sounds it might have been Parvo. Puppies are prone to it.

Damien -- is was nice of you to take her in and remember you made her final days happy. She had someone to love her and rub her belly.
