We had no 8th grade class trip in Alabama. However, one of the perks about being inthe band was the annual trip to Atlanta and Six Flags.

Think B.A. Where did you hide the Megos?

I didn't go to my 8th grade class trip. I stayed at school instead because class trips are the work of Satan!

Actually it was 9th grade, (since my Jr. Hi went from 7th-9th grade), so I was never a freshman, HA! But our big trip was Marriotts Great America in 1981.

The big trip to take when I was in school was in the 4th grade. Every year, the fourth graders did this trip.

It was an all day trip to the McIlhinny Tobasco plant, located on Avery Island, in south Louisiana. Avery Island is a large garden/bird sanctuary.

                              Rog,
Here in the US, our schools start at kindergarten (kids are usually 5 years old)
They then start first grade at around 5 or 6 years old. ,,,,,,

In 8th grade, most kids are about 12-13 years old

Highschool begins at grade 9 .... usually kids are about 14 years old
