My wife is allergic to Bees etc.. and we always make sure we have one with us, when we are outside.
Good advice. Like Aussie-Rebooted says, the reaction is an accumulative thing which means it takes a few stings for your body's immune system to adjust. Get that Epi-Pen and learn how to use it. But benadryl works well for the minor reactions.

I'm allergic, but my dad was a bee-keeper up until last year, so bees and I figured out our differences early on. I honestly can't remember the last time I was stung, maybe '86 or so. I remember I do swell up something fierce, and the pills knock me out almost immediately.
I carry a can of spray in the work truck, wasps love disconnect boxes and AC condenser units, but as long as you can remain calm they generally won't sting you.

I know I'm going to get stung tomorrow... the bees are monitoring my posts.

I wasn't dying or having a serious life threatening reaction. My lady was the one freaking out about my arm swelling up and I went to the ER just to make sure stuff was OK.

I don't think I need the Epi-Pen or anything like that. I think maybe I just have a minor irriatation to bee stings. It felt like a cigarette being burned on my arm.
