DarkLord! WOWOWOWOWOW! That truly Batastic! I can't hardly believe how life like it looks!
"Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."
I do not have any batman stuff, but here are some drawings I did a LONG time ago that I feel are worthy to share.
This is a drawing of my pet lizard, 'Gus (or Asparagus). She was a water dragon, and I thought it was a boy until she started laying eggs...so she became Gussica. Check out that ticket stub! $1.75 for a movie!! I am so old...
I wish I had kept more stuff, but who knows where they are now...recycled, maybe?
Thanks, Hector. No, I'm not a designer but I love fashion. I can't remember how I got into that fashion illustration class, but my classmates hated me.
Here's another little drawing I kept from that class:
Sadly, I am out of practice...never enough time. Too many hands pulling me this way and that with mommy duties. Maybe as the kids get older and they are not so much hands on for me, I can pick it up again.
My goodness, Jessica!! You are a tremenedous talent! No apologies required!!! Are you kidding me?????
I love the artistry and pencil skill of your fashion sketches, and the very first abstract piece you posted is just stunning!!
Batman-related or NOT, you should proudly take a bow, girl!! You richly deserve it
Steve... I... I... I am speechless! Your Adam West piece leaves me completely in awe! That's a gorgeous work! I'd love to see the rest of it with the montage of TV villains around Batman!
I'm also VERY intrigued to see the Adam West version of Batman rendered with the blank eyes! A very, very nice choice. That would have been incredible to see in live action if they had gone in that direction with the tone of the show.
In addition, your rendition of The Joker is absolutely nightmarish. Your proficiency with a pencil is just sublime, my friend.
A standing ovation for you my friend... followed by me kneeling before you!
Any of the pieces demonstrated here by either of you could hang perfectly in an art gallery, and command some serious money!
There is some unbelievable talent here on these boards. I suppose it's completely appropriate that we are all members of this awesome museum.
That water tower reminds me of a Madhatter episode from the 66 series. . .then one with the blonde chick in the French Maids outfit. . . AND I think the pink irradiated Bat Cowl.
I will NEVER look at the water tower in my drawing the same way again!!
nice stuff all. darklord, love your version of that classic rooftop Infantino pose.
Ding Ding Ding!!! Give that man a prize!! You're the first to mention my somewhat loose homage to the classic Carmine Infantino "crusaders" pin up!
Yeah, I've always loved that image and Infantino's dynamic composition. I tried to give it a new spin, but you know what they say: Nothing beats an original.
Thanks, Guys! hey Darklord I did notice the Infantino pose it's a great take on the classic cover. Funny thing is I'm drawing that same classic cover for myself also. Except with Adam West and Burt Ward. I've always drawn Adam without the eyes cause i never liked the way his eyes looked in the mask. As for the rest of that drawing with most of the villians it was too big for my scanner so i had to break it up into parts...
I love the Joker.i always thought the Joker should scare the poop out of you. He's someone you don't want to be in the same room with. So when i draw him there is a sense of madness in his eye's.
Hey Jessica love those Fashion drawings!!! great sense of composition and style!
and of course Hector the fact that you've taken to ilustrator and ran with it shows mad skills compadre! plus That avatar with the mego style head is so original.
