Never went to Hooters and never really cared, there were plenty of other restaurant/bars that served the same exact food and cheaper. So why pay extra just because there’s eye candy to look at, it’s not like your gonna get a date with any of them.
Besides I dated a girl that danced at a nude club in Rhode Island, believe me, much better.
Hooters to declare bankruptcy. Hooters set to file for bankruptcy as diners reveals rival has ‘steadily been stealing’ customers for years Plans for a restructuring are already underway.
Now after I said I have never stepped foot in one, that story changed.
My brother and I are Veterans, so once a year we go and hit up the restaurants that offer free meals. My brothers insisted on stopping in at Hooters. He knows I am gay and living with my Thai/Korean boyfriend but still wants to add this to are stops.
The (Thai) waitress knew I did not want to be there. Meanwhile she was getting hit on by way too many horny Vets so she keep coming over to me starting up conversations. She leaned in and whispered "I know your gay but could you help me out?" So we talked in Thai for an hour making that crowd think we were a couple and when they left she thanked me .
For the last few years we have been lucky enough to visit the same Hooters and had the same bartender. My BF laughs that spend an hour eating buffalo Wings and talking thai Queer Tv at a sports bar.

This is Hooters of America (HOA) which is filing for Chapter 11. HOA covers everywhere except the Original Hooters group here in the Tampa Bay area as well as Chicago. The Original group sold off the rest of the country franchise locations a couple of decades ago. So the Hooters here locally in Tampa is still pretty good. Maybe not as popular as back in the 80s and 90s, but still not a bad stop for wings. But alas, no more Hula Hoop exhibitions by the servers.
There's a Hooters in Dayton, Ohio. My 17 year old son and I were on a road trip to see the Airforce Museum there, and right next to our second rate motel was a Hooters. So I figured what the hell. My old man, brother and myself went to one in Ft. Myers back in the 80's, so there was some nostalgia It wasn't terrible, but it was crazy dated. The food was mediocre at best. Felt like a throwback, which the whole trip we were on sorta was as well. If people can make a few bucks working there and customers can have a beer or two and behave, more power to all involved. I'm not going to judge.
