Wow! Those were the days! I loved watching my cartoons (especially The Superfriends). And, growing up in L.A. I got to watch some local shows like That's Cat (can't even explain this show, but it was cool), and all that and a bowl of my favorite cereal at the time...Boo Berry! Yum! All of those re-formulations have lost that distinct flavor; artificial flavors must have been more intense then. Or, tastebuds! I don't know.Comment

Samuelson Sez: "Don't knock it, Skippy!"
Anyhow, for years, I remember starting my Saturday mornings with "the Super Friends" (sometimes Under Dog, if I was up before 7am) and it ended with "Shazam " and/or "Bigfoot and Wildboy." However, it could have went on until "Kids Are People, Too" and then wrestling (WWF and that mid-south wrestling hosted by Lance Russell).
Good times!
- IanRampart, this is Squad 51. How do you read?Comment

Oh Mike...that first TV Guide page shows Carrascolendas (7:30 am), I used to watch that show, very similar to Villa Alegre, lol.
It was a bilingual show on PBS:
Carrascolendas
Wow, what a blast form the past, thanks Mike!!!

Saturday mornings were the highlight of my week! While I did watch NBC and CBS and the start and end of it, most of my viewing was on ABC. And some Saturdays I do remember my bro and sis (older than me and twins) would argue between watching American Bandstand and Soul Train. I liked 'em both. Sometimes my sis would luck out and my brother would go out to play basketball.
These days, I have a lot of this stuff on tape, and love to sit in front of the tube on Saturday mornings in my Scooby Doo PJs, (yeah, I really have some), eating a bowl on sugar coated bliss and be 9 yrs. old for about 3 hours.
Thanks for sharing T1 Kirk!"Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."Comment

Let's see. My Cereals of choice were cookie crisp and Cocoa pebbles.
8:00 A.M.: Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm. Intresting that's up againt the Flintstones.
8:30 A.M.: Josie & The Pussycats
9:00 A.M.: Switch to Tom & Jerry/Grape Ape
9:30 A.M.: Adventures Of Gilligan
10:00 A.M.:Super Friends-No contest here I never missed Super Friends!
11:00 A.M.: Speed Buggy
TV time would usually be over by then as my I'd play with freinds or my Mom would just plain cut me off.Comment
