What surprised me was Shazam/Isis and Land of the Lost were both on at the same time on 2 different channels --- and they were up against Superfriends .....
Great lineup. No wonder we only needed 4 or 5 channels.
My dad loved watching Soul Train for some reason. He doesn't even care for the type of music that was played on the show but I guess he was more interested in the "visuals" more than anything.

Oh boy!! Here's my schedule of viewing for Sat., August 14, 1976:
6:45 AM Wake up. Eat 2 bowls of Count Chocula.
7:00 AM Underdog
7:30 Mr. Magoo
8:00 Hong-Kong Phooey
8:30 Bugs Bunny/Roadrunner
9:30 Pink Panther
10:00 (Flip back and forth between) Shazam/Isis, Land of the Lost, and Superfriends!
11:00 Return to the Planet of the Apes
11:30 (Don't like any of this stuff! Maybe put it on Westwind and draw pictures of Superman and Batman for 30 minutes!)
12:00 Valley of the Dinosaurs
Big bowl of Freakies Cereal, finish off with a glass of Kool-Aid to get the juices going.
7 am Underdog
7:30 Mr. Magoo
8:00 Hong Kong Phooey
8:30 Brady Bunch or Josie and the Pussycats
9:00 Partridge Family or Electric Company
9:30 Bewitched
10:00 Land of the Lost but would hit Superfriends depending on if one was a repeat
10:30 Bathroom break. Another glass of Kool-Aid
11:00 Planet of the Apes or Speed Buggy
11:30 Lunch Mac 'n' cheese or maybe a Fluffer Nutter sandwich on Wonder Bread
12:00 Dad took over the tv and it was the Souuuulllllll Train
After that, it was outside for the rest of the day riding the Schwinn Sting Ray, Mego/G.I. Joe Battles, Hotwheels dirt racing, jumping off swings, or tree climbing until it was time to come in for dinner.
