This guy has been selling tires in my area for decades. He always yells like that. He used to have his daughter in his ads, and lately he's been featuring his grandkids.

He's loud, and annoying, but he really does have good prices.

These are all GOLD!! (no offense to James Diamond) They're gloriously awful!

This one had higher production values but its insidious jingle still unexpectedly pops into my head to this day.

Not sure if this was local or national

It would always play on the New York City stations

Commercial includes iconic song at the end

I consider these "Local" too, despite Lake Ontario.

Right? And a cool version of the Hefti theme.

I remember Buddy! For me it's also Fred Ricart "We're Dealin'"

One of the more fun things about growing up in Toronto is that SCTV would parody all this stuff despite it being so local.

    I love this thread!

The first thing that sprang to mind was Buddy's Carpet. Ol' Buddy was a fixture on the Lexington, KY and Cincinnati, OH channels we got (we're smack dab in the middle of both cities). He used to irritate the crap out of my Dad.

As a kid growing up in Tampa, the first thing that popped in my head was Allied Discount Tires. This one doesn't feature his catch phrase "tires ain't pretty", but it was too good not to share...
