:smiley13: Babies in my yard. No lawnmowers.

This Pronghorn antelope gave birth to twins in my back yard today. In a short amount of time they were all cleaned up and running about like nothing.

Monkey Tennis is not allowed to come over until they leave.

That's great! It would be cool to see or hear about what other members see in their neck of the woods. As for me, I'd love to see antelope outside my window. I get to see seagulls and pelicans and the occasional alligator, JOHN

Anyone can feel free to use this thread to share what animals/interesting things they may see in their neck of the woods. I miss seagulls, we see them here for some reason but it isn't the same as at the shore. No gators though except for fossils occasionally.

Stink? Ummm....no, well, maybe, I wasn't close enough to smell them. I think usually, baby mammals don't have much smell because it would attract predators. These guys were at least 100-150 feet away, on the hillside. They are about the size of a small white tail deer or mule deer, not particularly large.

Nice pictures! It must have been an awesome sight to see. I don't think Barry would want to mow your backyard.

Great photos Nate. It's funny what people say they "only" see in their neck of the woods, like as if lizards aren't totally cool , but I guess you see so much of them they become ho hum. Animals around here are kinda boring IMHO, deer, horses, foxes, coyotes, rabbits, blue jays, Once you go more north you might see Lynx etc. But I did see a JACKALOPE in my backyard having babies once, too bad my camera wasn't working and couldn't get a picture to show you.

I wish we had cool animals in our backyard. We live in snail-ville. When you walk outside at night, be ready for unexpected crunches under your feet. Just hope you aren't barefooted.
