Do you have a local fleamarket?

I bought these two used and already assembled bikes (a Diamond Back and a Huffy) for $50 each, pretty darn good bargains...and they are perfect, no malfunctions whatsoever.
fleamarkets are tough because IF hteer is something wrong you don't have the recourse you do from a store like target. They ain't taking it back if you do have a problem.

the Diamond back you got was a very good deal. A quality bike at a great price -congrats

The Huffy (I'd say "no offense, but.." but I am sure it will sound offensive so I'll just say sorry hec instead.)
-at $50 is an OK price but is available EVERYWHERE - yard sales galore. Checking store ads regularly you can get one of these clumsy tanks for $68 new.

Yeah Brue, you are dead on on both bikes, the Huffy's are dime a dozen...but I really got lucky on the Diamond Back...fifty buck for it, wow.

Hope your wife is ok Mitch. I'm sure she'll be plenty sore tomorrow. Be wary of Targets Insr. I'm sure they'll be wanting you to sign a release clearing them of any wrong doing. Most accident attys usually ask for 3x your damages then suffering and pain. It would be best to speak to an atty and get an idea of all of your options. Let us all know how she's doing after getting checked out.

If she took a very nasty spill and hit her knees, they could seem to get better --- but later on in life she might develope arthritis there because of the accident.

I think it depends on what state you live in to see if what if anything Target will have to do.

It might be worth asking around to find a reputable lawyer who specializes in this type of stuff. I was in a car accident a few years ago that put me in months of physical therapy and out of work for quite a while.

He was well informed on state law and I was able to recover medical bills and missed work. The work was completed on a contingency fee basis so he took a cut of the settlement. I wasn't completely satisfied with the outcome but he did work in my best interest and I did end up better off even after paying his cut than had I done it alone.
