    Fargo (1996)

Better than I had expected --- almost had a Quentin Tarantino-ish feel

    Very satisfying ending

LOVED the Fargo police lady --- totally likeable and lovable but is a genius when it comes to her work --- Very Lt. Columbo-ish.

Steve Buscemi ?, … well, what can say --- except never disappointing

I can't believe it took me around 25 years to see this movie

Watched the new Mortal Kombat movie, wasn't bad, felt like your typical popcorn summer movie.

Personal redemption after watching a run of terrible movies…

    The Handmaiden (2016): 8/10
Much to enjoy if you dig an strange, erotic morality-play Asian films, as I. This is one you don't want to read about first (as it has several plot twists), just watch it. With snappy and tricky dialogue, and lots of subtlety within the Korean/Japanese historic cultural references, it's worthy of a second viewing for sure.

Ok, back at ya Wee, I finally watched it!

My reaction… I muttered why!, ***!, how did this get made!, laughed about 5 times, and cursed extensively at the (even more bizarre) ending. I think after doing it, I'm resigned to say that this is the companion movie to Tusk.

    Willy's Wonderland
well, what can i say. this was just so bad it was good. just stupid fun. Cage's career has really bottomed out. movie has very little plot, no development, it's just mayhem in the Wonderland, lol

Really great flick. At least, I thought it was. Very fun. If you like that kind of thing.
It felt like "what if John Wick had had a family when he retired and THEN got pulled back in."

Favorite line- "Where's the God D*#$ Kitty Cat bracelet?!?"

    Twice-Told Tales (1963)

Never seen or even heard of this anthology movie before.

Stars Vincent Price in 3 semi-short stories.

Clearly a Hammer/Amicus knock-off but made in the USA by MGM with mostly American actors.

If I had watched this as a kid I would think it was boring as heck but as an adult I quite enjoyed it.

    Riki-Oh: The Story of Ricky

He punches holes in walls and in people. A super-powered man is going to clean up the corrupt prison in which he is incarcerated. Plus all the cartoony gore and special effects quality of a 1984 Troma film. An unintentional B+

She doesn’t have to be Supergirl, she’s already doing a lot for me regardless.
