          Vort, here's a the backstory,
          http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abomination_(comics)

Now, *Lee grabs his soapbox and stands on it*

I think there are some parts where Hulk needs a bit more tuning up as far as the CGI goes, but all in all it looks "Incredible".
I loved the TV show as a kid, but I always wanted to see Hulk that didn't get hurt when getting shot, I wanted to hear Hulk speak, plus, Lou is a BIIIIIIIIIG man, but the Hulk towers over the tallest heroes in the comics so I mean anyway you slice it he has to be CGI.

I did like the 2003 Hulk movie (I think I'm the only one in the world who did, but seeing Hulk on the screen for the first time ever was something I wanted to see as a very little boy. So I might just be biased. But Bana wasn't a good choice for Banner, plus he knew SQUAT about the character he was playing.

Now Ed and Tim however, from reading/watching interviews they know what WE THE FANS want to see. Boy oh boy did they ever give it to us so far from the previews.
Plus I'm a huge fan of "The Transporter" movies so supercharged thrill-rides are what Louis delivers, so I think in a nutshell this movie is going to be (for me) the movie of the summer, but besides Hulk not looking too real in some parts there is the "A-Bomb", personally I really don't like how he looks. I mean he looks like a BIG meat zombie. I mean WHERE THE HELL ARE HIS POINTY EARS? Hulk's pet name for him since I can remember was "Big Ears". So what's it gunna be now? "Spine Back"? Makes you think.
But I'm in, I can't wait to see how it looks on the big screen. Ed hasn't dissapointed me ever, and besides Steve Buscemi, I always said Ed Norton would be a PERFECT Banner.

Here's my proof, "FIGHT CLUB" anyone?

I don't know if you were just making a point or if you were really
referencing the idea of HULK even speaking English at all in the movie--
-isn't the onscreen HULK supposed to be devoid of "HULK TALK" ever since
the 70s show established that'd be the best route?
"No. No no no no no no. You done got me talkin' politics. I didn't wanna'. Like I said y'all, I'm just happy to be alive. I think I'll scoot over here right by this winda', let this beautiful carriage rock me to sleep, and dream about how lucky I am." - Chris Mannix

Hulk have bulgey muscles. Hulk like Liv Tyler. She hot. Hulk no like rockets. Hulk try smash Tim Roth like bug. Tim too fast for Hulk. Tim do back flips and crazy kung fu dodge. Then Tim turn into Abomination. Hulk SMASH Abomination. THE END.

I sure hope not, I like the fact that Hulk talks! Also from what I hear Lou's doing his voice! (Lou's just credited for being invlolved with the movie on IMDB) He should speak, he's simply got the mind of a very disgruntled child, I know plenty of kids disgruntled or not who speak their minds!

I fixed the link to the Abomination entry, above, and I read it. Apart from Blonsky's being a KGB agent, which obviously can no longer be done, I don't see much difference here. The key point in his origin seems to be that he underwent gamma irradiation on purpose, in order to challenge the Hulk. Same thing here. As to his missing ears, that appears to be the only change in his appearance. I think it would have looked kinda silly to keep those big fin-ears, but I understand that after seeing the character in the comics year after year you'd want to keep the same look. Yet every other aspect of his appearance is similar, from the gray-green scaly skin to the spiny protrusions in various parts of his anatomy. If you can make peace with the fact that he lacks his huge fin-ears, and that he's not a KGB agent, I think you'll enjoy the movie alot more!

I too love the Ang Lee HULK, but obviously you and I are in the minority. Audiences seemed to have wanted the TV series character done on the big screen, not the early-70s Herb Trimpe rendition which the 2003 movie faithfully reproduces. This new movie, with the perfect Banner, looks to incorporate aspects of the TV show, which presumably will increase its marketability. I say just gimme a good movie!

Good luck---I think it's a stupid idea---but, hey, if it works
                    it'll prove me wrong.

Oh I understand that they have to change it up. I think changing the ears is something I can totally live with. I remember people in 2003 telling me how they wished that the Ang Lee movie would have stuck with the original story line. So in my defense, I said, "Oh a gray-skinned Hulk fighting toadmen would be quality entertainment?" I mean no one complained when Peter Parker got bit by a GENETIC spider. Oh well, I do think that this new Hulk movie is gunna be awesome! The cast looks great, it follows the comic alot more that the Ang Lee movie did. So I have even higher hopes for this one!

Nah, I mean I don't want the Hulk reciting Shakespeare, I would like to hear "Hulk Smash", "Hulk Crush", "Puny Humans", and I would be good to go!

Well, we did get "puny human" in the Ang Lee film, in a brief dream sequence.

That reminds me that Ang Lee "played" the Hulk in the same way Andey Serkis played Gollum or Ray Winstone Beowulf -- through motion capture. Is Ed Norton "playing" the Hulk in the new film??

Yeah, I wasn't very happy about that either, I mean have the actor play the character, ya know? If they don't wanna do it, then get someone else!
Yeah as far as I know, but I hear Ed's rather upset due to the fact that they are cutting alot out of the movie, it's supposed to be 2hrs long, but I think running time is 115min. Or something to that degree.
