Oh man...I can't believe Private Hudson is gone...I love Paxton in that role in Aliens...what an iconic role...I'm so saddened. First John Hurt, now him. Please, no more Alien/Aliens actors.
He was in a lot of cool movies, Tombstone, Apollo 13, Predator 2, Terminator, Twister, U-571, Frailty, Titanic, and so on...he was a busy actor...
He was really not that much older than me, damn, so sad.
RIP, Mr Paxton...
This is how I will always remember you...

I met him last year at the Comic-Con in Houston. He signed my poster with his trade-mark "Game Over Man, Game Over" from "Aliens." I am so glad that I had the chance to meet him. I take nothing for granted. You truly never know if today will be your last day.Comment

Cindy read this off of her phone while I was driving yesterday. I couldn't believe it. We had just been watching Tombstone from the night before. Thankfully we turned it off before Morgan died.
If Paxton was in a movie, he brought a spark to it. Even in True Lies, where he is downright hilarious. RIP.

The specifics of Bill Paxton were revealed today...
Bill Paxton‘s death was triggered by an aneurysm that required surgery which resulted in a fatal stroke.
According to the death certificate, Paxton had just undergone valve replacement surgery to correct the aortic aneurysm problem when complications arose later and he suffered a stroke.
According to the death certificate, Bill had the surgery on Feb. 14 and died on the 25.
P.S. Paxton opened up about a childhood bout with rheumatic fever weeks before he died, saying the illness left him with heart damage. Paxton; "I woke up one night, I had been to a hockey game, and I woke up one night and I had a lot of pain in my left wrist." 'It usually damages your heart valves. " Paxton addressed this in the interview, explaining that while he experienced pain in the wrist, it often leads to heart issues.
After several rounds of testing, doctors ultimately diagnosed Paxton with rheumatic fever, a condition that can cause permanent damage to the heart and lead to heart failure, according to the Mayo Clinic.
Such bad luck, what a bummer...sigpicComment

In the Maron podcast, he also basically said he wouldn't be in show business if he didn't get rheumatic fever as a kid. That is like a Greek tragedy how the thing that set him on his amazing path was also the thing that destroyed him.Comment
