Boycott's are useless because basically the idea of a boycott itself tips ebay that it wont last.
They can weather a 1 week storm easily and laugh at the same time.
A one week boycott is like going on strike for one week --- the company knows you're going to come back -- matter settled or not.
The whole trick is STRIKE until the situation changes.
The only prob is, there's too many people that rely on ebay as their soul source of income, so those people will bend over for ebay and not doing anything except take their abuse.
The give negative no matter what thing seems like the best course of action.
Can you image how many emails ebay will get per day ?Comment

>As of next month, the only payment methods accepted on ebay.com.au will be Paypal or Cash On Delivery.
Isn't this at the option of the seller? Really, what're they gonna do if you accept a money order? COD requires you sending them their payment anyhoo; so they can't really cut you off.
I think folks are forgetting that ebay is, and always has been, little more than an online classified. Ebay themselves have very little to do with the auctions, beyond feedback. And even THAT isn't really much. It LOOKS like they're a big part of the process 'cos the logo is everywhere. That's why they can't do so much to stop bad dealers, buyers and the like.

I didn't know about the neutral thing. Sheesh. I hate them. I am really getting over Ebay.
I am disgusted. I have been a member for 6 years 5 months. I had 100% positive feedback. I received 1 neutral last December because I objected to a seller charging more than double postage.
So now my feedback is 98.7% because it only counts for the last year now.
Watchout. We are simply the guinea pigs for what is coming your way.Last edited by SlipperyLilSuckers; May 16, '08, 4:35 AM.Comment

The rules pertain more to what accepted payments you are allowed to advertise in your listing. Even in the US, cash or Western Union payments aren't allowed. If you come right out and say you accept these payments in your listing, your auction could be pulled. But if, after the auction is over, the buyer asks you if he can send cash and you agree, you aren't breaking any rules.Comment
