Definitely agree with that, you could probably add the still living Betty White to that list.

I will never forget how I found out late in the day. It was already dark. I was walking on the sidewalk not fully paying attention, & approached the lit-up street-level-posted electronic billboard, announcing the sad news. When it registered with me in that second or two, I stopped walking, & I was stunned. I gasped aloud. I can not quite explain it, but I know I will never forget that moment I experienced yesterday. My thoughts to her family & dearest friends.

I have settled on the realization that I find the theme song to "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" as a nice little tribute to Mary Tyler Moore at her passing.

As an aside, this song was written and performed by Sonny Curtis. Sonny was a childhood friend of Buddy Holly and performed with Buddy when he opened up for Elvis in 1955 and 1956. By the time Buddy formed The Crickets, Sonny had settled in another band but he continued to write with Buddy on some of his hits and took over vocals with The Crickets after Buddy died. Sonny also wrote "I Fought the Law (and the Law Won)" which has been covered by a bunch of notable bands/artists.

I don't feel it is inappropriate dropping those facts with you folks because we all seem to specialize in "little known and lesser cared for facts" or we wouldn't be here.

They changed the lyrics after Season 1 to "you're going to make it, after all" because she had obviously "made it". I thought that was kind of neat.
