That looks downright respectful compared to the raunchy Baywatch remake coming out this year. Baywatch is even less beloved than CHiPs, but I'm still not sure why anyone decided to fill it with F-bombs...IN THE TRAILER!

ABC said it wasn't worth the price of admission and that the humor was gross in a way that it couldn't be described on broadcast TV. It will fall flat and die a quick death, I'd bet.

Maybe the studio will go the Dukes Of Hazzard route and overhaul this hot mess with a direct to home video prequel of the original series. They all can't be Starsky & Hutch which I actually liked. I've noticed a bunch of Mego CHiPs stuff popping up on Ebay during the last week or so.

Well, your prediction seems to be coming true... I had the news on last night and they had a list of the Top 5 movies, and "CHiPs" was nowhere to be found in that list...

Anyone who wants to see "CHiPs" theatrically best hit the theaters now before it's pulled out of distribution... Maybe the foreign markets will be kinder to it, but I doubt it... The way it looks, it'll probably be on home video before the end of May...

They should try a re-make of Dr. Shrinker next. At least shrinking people might be an improvement in the CGI age. And all the other combined effects used in Marvel and DC movies. Ant Man etc.
