Watched Ohio State lose, then popped my new game Rocket League into the PS4. The wife came down around 1:00, "Did you see the ball drop? I missed it." "Nope, me neither."

My parents, my sister and myself shared a frozen pizza and then we played board games. We are a very exciting family. You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...Comment

I was sick as a dog starting late afternoon on New Year's Eve, woke up long enough to watch said ball drop (which, to me, is kind of MEH in and of itself with America/New York acting like they're the center of the universe when there are plenty of other places where it's the New Year way before it ever gets to NYC), then passed back out and didn't wake up until noon yesterday.sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.Comment

Ate finger foods and watched dystopian future movies with my kids, my son and wife tapped out before 11 and my daughter held her ground until midnight. We ended with the "Brady Bunch Movie" and I drank fizzy water as my toast. Sober good times!
New Year's used to be a big deal to me but i haven't done or been to a party in about ten years.Places to find PlaidStallions online: https://linktr.ee/Plaidstallions

I marathoned The Leftovers and enjoyed some Coke and Fireballs, turned on the Dick Clark thing and switched to champagne, kiss at midnight, then I crashed not long after.
I would never go to Times Square for New Years. It looks like an absolute nightmare. I'd rathefr go to the Thanksgiving parade and I haven't been brave enough for that either. This year would have been a good time to do it. It was warm.Expectation is the death of discovery.Comment

I live in VA, so I spent it on the downtown mall in Charlottesville ...there was a group called Love Canon playing at one of the theaters...if you've never heard them, they are really good...They took old 80s pop songs and gave them a blue grass beat...ever heard Devo's Whip It done with a fiddle and steel guitar?...lol...but they really were good and the thing was sold out...we had to buy some guy's tickets that decided not to go...Comment
