How was your New Years Eve?

How was everyone's New Years Eve this year? I had a good one spending it with some family.
Those New Years specials haven't been the same since Dick Clark died. It's always weird watching all these performers who I have no clue about but yet everyone in the crowd seems to know every word.
Has anyone reading this ever been to Times Square on New Years?

I went to Rogue One in the afternoon, came home and ordered Chinese Food. Then the whole family watched the original Star Wars followed by binge watching Fuller House all night til the countdown.

I went from Darth Vader to Bob Saget. Talk about a rollercoaster.

    Quiet as usual.

Ordered a huge XL pizza, had three beers...watched a few episodes of the Twilight Zone marathon.

Watched none of those New Years TV specials...not my thing.

My sister went to a little gathering with her friends...I stayed behind taking care of mom, she was chilling with me.

That pizza was gigantic...a few slices left. Want one?

Spent the evening at home with my wife, daughter and son in law. We ordered Chinese and played Catan up until the ball dropped.

I loathe New Years. It's the end of Christmas time, and the end of vacation.

Since pop music hasn't been good in decades, I wish for television, they'd get away from the musical format, and go with more of a variety show event. More year end retrospectives, maybe some stand up comedy (people like to laugh, and not just at Mariah Carrey). Maybe show the best viral videos of the year. Instead, we get tired performances by irksome "pop stars", Lionel Richie notwithstanding. I'd respond more to a look back at the year with humor and hope for the future than just a bunch of musical performances punctuated by Ryan Seacrest.

spent the evening with most of my siblings and their families. we were all ready to go to bed at 8:00 but we fought it and made it midnight, bed by 12:01, LOL
had a great time with the family though and that's all that really matters

Watched the Stooges marathon until 11:59, switched to the ball drop, kissed my wife, and back to Moe, Larry, & Curly.
New Years Day on Sunday was goofy...like a one day break in the holiday. A regular NFL Sunday, then all the normal New Years stuff on Monday.

The Holidays were pretty grueling this year. Super hyper active 4 year old bouncing off the walls since school was let out. She fell asleep at 9 and I fell asleep at 9:01 and I was cool with that.

Twilight Zone Marathon and black beans and rice. At 11:50 I switched to New Year's Rockin' Eve. I detest that lounge studio Ryan Seacrest was in. Guess he's too good for a booth. I watched Lionel Ritchie, and went to bed. I miss Dick Clark.

Me too. Wonder why there isn't some similar style show, hosted by someone like Michael Buble or Harry Connick or Diana Krall? I have no clue who anyone is on these "rockin" shows.

I had to work most of the night, got home a little after 11, kissed my wife, played with the dog for a bit then when they went to sleep went and read comics for a bit before crashing. The only acknowledgement of the new year here really was to change the calendars over.
