When Leonard Nimoy died I was kinda choked up. Oddly today I didn't really feel anything.

Til I read somewhere what Mark Hamill tweeted, I think it was 'no words, devastated'. That got to me...

I thought, like a lot of people did, that she might pull through since just prior to her death, her family said she was in 'stable' condition.

As for how this has any impact on Ep. 9, one of the rumors being bandied about is that Leia dies in Ep. 8 (since it is assumed that the 'Big Three' die in this trilogy; Han in Ep. 7, Leia in Ep. 8, and Luke in Ep. 9). Allegedly, Carrie already filmed her scenes for Ep. 8.

What I don't like is Disney using CGI to cover for Carrie like they did for Rogue One. Another rumor I read is that Leia might be recast (like what was done for Harry Potter when that actor died).
I am more than machine. More than man. More than a fusion of the two.

They wouldn't recast that part. Disney's not that stupid. Just too iconic. Wouldn't work for this character / actress.

Her mother, Debbie Reynolds, has now been rushed to the hospital. Possible stroke. Geez. It's just terrible.

Debbie Reynolds has succumbed to her stroke. Passed away at 84. Carrie Fisher is now with both of her parents in the Kingdom of Heaven.
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

Stroke nothing, that is a typical case of a broken heart if I've ever seen one. Same thing happened to Johnny Cash. It does happen and surely brought on her stroke. RIP both.

Can't believe the stink that was raised over Steve Martin's Tweet of her.

What got me was the little cartoon that was posted on Facebook with her with R2-D2. Realizing both her and Kenny Baker are gone nails you.

Same here. If you haven't seen Wishful Drinking AND listened to it as an audiobook (they are different), please do yourself a favor. THIS is how I want to remember Carrie Frances Fisher.

Yeah, it's great. Some really fascinating recollections of the filming of SW in there.
