    Worst popular songs ever?

I can think of a couple that really sucked that became popular.

Muscrat Love- What the heck is this anyway?

Loving you- most whining voice ever

Shut upa you face- Sounds kind of stereotyped and stupid

Don't worry, be happy- just plain bad from a talented guy.

Short People- 70's stupid song but I remember hearing it everywhere when it came out.

I think MMMMMMMbop is in that category.

Also, (for me anyway) that 1st Beastie Boys album in the 80's
    It's all good!

      The Macarena!
Like a Virgin. Come on. How would Madonna ever know anything about that.

You Light Up My Life - Debby Boone (7 Weeks at #1 ??? ***).

Let's Hear it for The Boy - Deniece Williams (Not ragging on "Footloose" but if I ever hear this song again I will personally track down Kevin Bacon and slap him just for his association!)

I Just Called to Say I Love You - Stevie Wonder (even a blind man should be able to see that this song is pure crap! Oh Stevie ... whatever happened to great songs like "Higher Ground" and "Living For the City"?)

A few that I personally cannot stand....

"What's New Pussycat?" by Tom Jones......that chorus, and those backing vocals, UGH.

"Werewolves Of London" by Warren Zevon.....some clever lyrical bits at times, but something about this song bugs me.

"How Bizarre" by OMC....I shouldn't even have to explain this one, it's awful. Plus my ex-wife loved it, so that's a double-whammy, lol.

"I Love The Nightlife (Disco Round)" by Alicia Bridges.....this woman is all teeth when she sings. It's like the Mouth of Sauron singing disco. And the way she pronounces certain words, like "I need some aaaaactshaaawwn" and "on the disco rrrrroooooOOOOOUUUUUnd"......it sends shivers down my spine. Not the good kind.

Kudos to the mention of "Let's Hear It For The Boy". That song has irritated me for years.

A friend of mine works for one of the larger banks and he tells me that "Sunglasses at Night' by Corey Hart plays at least 3 times a day on their Musak and it makes him very angry.
