Really like most mentioned here, but to add a new one, I'm really fond of "The Kind of Girl I Could Love".

So many songs, just saw an interview with Peter Tork where he said he thought the Monkees had probalby the 3rd best song catalogue after the Beatles and the Rolling Stones. I think he might be right, at least among groups from the 60's anyway.

The thing I remember reading (that I now can't find) quoted Nilsson himself saying that's what the song was about.

Hahaha - okay. I never thought that before, and I wasn't expecting that, but I guess that might work? Interesting take, anyway.

Oh no, is there a dark and depraved background to this song that's going to make it super depressing to me now?!

Obviously I know the sexual innuendo in the lyrics (and they're also pretty sexist), but I don't if that's what you mean. I can't find much info on Wiki about it for some reason.

First song that comes to my mind is 'Pleasant Valley Sunday'. Just love that song. 'Mary Mary' is also a favorite. There are so many...

All immediately spring to mind. On the new album, I really enjoy She Makes Me Laugh . . . they lyrics are a little too intentionally goofy, but it's a great tune with a catchy refrain and the song just makes me smile when I hear it.

I really love this new song as well. Very Dylan-esque. The lyrics are excellent.
