^I bet you've heard it, you just don't know the title.

There were several Monkee's song where the title really doesn't match the song. Hey, it was the 60s.

Surprised to see "Randy Scouse Git" show up so much.

Don't think I've ever heard of it.

I mostly know the hits they played on the radio

Never let it be said I don't love the classics.

    "I'm a Believer"
    "Last Train to Clarksville"
    "Randy Scouse Git"
    "I wanna be Free"

And yes... I'm a big fan of "Day Dream Believer". Lil D calls it the "Sleeping Genie song".

Believe it or not, and I like the monkees. But my favorite song by the monkees was actually recorded by Paul Revere and the Raiders. Their version is just some how cooler. Stepping stone. I mean, " your not going to find me in your book of who's who! " lyrics like that. Excellent.

The Monkees are my favorite group and have been since I was a little kid watching the show when CBS ran it at noon on Saturdays. The Byrds and The Who are close behind as favorite groups but I've loved The Monkees the longest.

Looking over all these responses, what's really astonishing is, for a band that was so denigrated and mocked as being "fake" back in their day and for many, many years after, how many different songs from their catalogue are beloved -- and how, 50 years after the band was formed and 45 after they broke up, they can chart with a new album and hit #1 on Amazon.

What Am I Doing Hangin' 'Round?
    Randy Scouse Git
