I'm about 98.3% certain that the woods surrounding my home are haunted by the ghost of Bigfoot.

One of my business associates Gerri actually introduced me to some clients this way...
"This is Dwayne. He builds...things. Little weird creature things and monster people."
The people are looking at me like they just met Hannibal Lecter or something and I'm like seriously? WTH Gerri?

        This made me chuckle.

Seriously though, I'd check out the carbon monoxide deal like sprytel mentioned. Something may have jiggled loose during your renovating (which could explain most of these cases, actually).

We have a detector...several actually. It's not that.

Get a video camera and set it to night vision(if it has one) mount it on a tripod in a corner of your home...
leave it recording and if anything happens document it.
Do it several times in hot spots in your house or where you think whatever might be in your house is most active.
Same with a digital sound recorder to see if you pick up any voices.
What you want is solid proof and piece of mind.

He had all these sealed kits from the 60's stashed away for his grandson, but for some reason never gave them to the kid. Maybe the former owner is still attached to them?

Okay, so my wife and I moved into this house in December of 2013, and for the past two years absolutely nothing out of the ordinary has happened...then about six months ago we started doing renovations, and little things started happening.

Objects would disappear...stupid things like a bottle of my model paint, or a kitchen utensil, even knick knacks off the dresser...then days later they would reappear EXACTLY where we left them originally.

Then on several separate occasions either my wife or I have heard what sounds like a child giggling coming from somewhere in the house. You have no idea how completely unsettling that is until it happens. It totally freaks you out.

In the last two weeks it's gotten worse. My wife and I have both experienced terrifying events at night. I was in bed and felt her sit down behind me, I rolled over and she wasn't there. She had gotten up to go to the bathroom. The same thing happened to her. She claims she heard me walk into the bedroom at about 2:30 A.M. and felt me get into bed beside her. She reached over and I wasn't there. I had fallen asleep on the couch downstairs watching TV.

Last night something else happened. I was downstairs again watching TV...my wife was in bed sound asleep...I could hear her snoring. All of a sudden, the front door handle jiggles as if someone's trying to turn it. Problem is, we have a glass patio door too. You cant even try to open the inside door without first opening the outside door. Needless to say I just froze. I sat there, and after about ten seconds it jiggled again. That's when I said screw this, shut the TV off and went upstairs.

We've both tried to look for rational explanations for this stuff, but it's all very strange and creepy. The weird thing is, this house isn't that old...it was built in the 1970's and as far as we know nobody ever died here.

                  Hi,

Perhaps someone from American Society for Psychical Research, Inc. located 5 West 73rd Street, New York, New York 10023, (212) 799-5050, can offer some guidance on this matter. They appear to be a legit "non-koo-koo' society. (I'm not connected with these folks in any manner, nor have I any experience with them.)

Sorry to hear about this unsettling matter in your home

I'd suggest documenting the case. Sound and video, whenever you can. They're disturbing events, and studying it might help you understand it.

Wow, what a great story, certainly as others have said, document it, and please keep us updated. I just hope it doesnt turn nasty, and just testing your patience now.

My daughter and I have talked many times about what we would do if this sort of thing happened. Document everything, video and audio recordings would be excellent as well.

I wouldn't rule out anything at this point, including gas and even magnetic, electrical radiation etc....
