I've tried a few unusual Kit Kat varieties from my local Chinese supermarket.
Plus the crazy flavours of Oreo they have over there.

They certainly look different and might make a nice change of pace from the ordinary KitKat bar.

Some flavors work (eg. strawberry, cheesecake) and some not so much (eg. chili, wasabi). Many flavors are limited, every time I go there I find new ones. Last year I found apple pie flavored Kit Kats, those were pretty awesome.

I love the fruit flavoured ones... the strawberry ones actually taste like strawberry and not Quik or Frankenberry for example.

Cheesecake was Amazing. really dig orange and apple pie.

I love these. I buy them all the time. Fruit flavors are the best. Banana is really good. Green tea is not bad either. I have no clue why they do not sell the fruit flavors in the US. They did strawberry years ago for a limited time.

We bought 22 flavours on eBay and had a game of Kit Kat Roulette. Put the Kit Kats on separate plates with the wrappers underneath and tried to guess the flavours.

Avoid the Red Bean Paste one. Nightmarish. :0

High up on the shopping list for many visitors to Japan is the Japanese Kit Kat, in as many flavours as possible, but with no designated store selling the complete range, it can be almost impossible to track down all the different varieties available. Finally, Nestlé Japan is offering all 18 of the Kit Kats currently on the market in one place for a limited time, and it’s all part of the launch celebrations for their latest new release, the “Everyday Luxury Kit Kat”.
The new chocolate, inspired by the Kit Kat Chocolatory’s signature Moleson creation, contains a delicious blend of almonds and cranberries, which is said to give the chocolate a delightfully tart, fresh flavour.

To be honest, I have yet to try one that's better than the good old basic Kit Kat.

I had a lot of fun trying different drinks and snacks when I was in Japan. It was veeeeery hit and miss for me, though. My middle-of-the-US palette had a very hard time appreciating what the average Japanese found appealing and I have to admit that I was certainly puzzled by what they found to be "tasty". I will say that I wasn't afraid to give stuff a try and over time, some of the stuff I initially found to be "weird" started to grow on me.

                              EDIT TO ADD:

Going to the movie theater was the best! Instead of standard soda/popcorn/candy from the counter there were vending machines with all kinds of salty/savory/sweet awesomeness and a wide variety of drink choices. I miss the heck out of that!
