The best thing about movie theaters in Japan, you can bring in food and drinks from outside, they just don't care. I've gone in with some fast food and a couple cans of beer. Second best thing, for most films you can buy a nice program booklet for almost every film shown. And for Godzilla films, theaters would sell exclusive Godzilla toys and merchandise (not sure if they still do this with the new films).
