Another legend passes into the great beyond. Pugilist, humanitarian, philanthropist----all words that describe one man who forever changed the face of not only boxing, but the sports world in general. The fire of his spirit will burn on eternally through the minds, hearts and souls of all the lives he touched, inspired and made a difference in.

Rest in Peace, Muhammad Ali; you stung like a bee in life, now may you float like a butterfly in the Kingdom of Heaven.

Peace and condolences to his family, friends and fans worldwide.
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

I grew up seeing Ali everywhere, but my Dad didn't like him due to his cockiness, and honestly his objecting to serve in Vietnam. As I grew I started to form my own opinion of him, and found him to be a fascinating individual. I was never a boxing fan, but the man was so much more than a boxer. The state of Kentucky as a whole seemed to slowly embrace it's most famous living son as well.

          RIP.

That stinks. I graduated college with his twin daughters. I think most of the video my brother shot of that day was of him sitting in the crowd.

Just adding a little levity to the fact of Ali's passing...this always pops in my head when Ali's name was mentioned in conversation...BTW, that's Cuba Gooding Jr. in the barbers seat:

"When not too many people can see we're all the same
And because of all their tears,
Their eyes can't hope to see
                The beauty that surrounds them
                Isn't it a pity".

Always liked it that he told Will Smith he wasn't pretty enough to play him in "Ali".

Will Smith is sort of goofy looking.
