          Crazy news.
This ^^^^^^^^ is exactly right. Criminally underrated as a guitarist.

I'm reading on some boards that he showed symptoms of the flu while on tour, but continued with performances, in one of his last, during a very small intimate 200 people show, no band, no backup singers, just him and this brand new purple colored Yamaha piano...he told the crowd to hold off on prayers for a few days. Fans there he said he looked very thin and nervous. He also suffered from epileptic seizures. AIDS/HIV? Pneumonia? Perhaps some sort of existing heart problem? Drugs don't seem to be one of the topics, but you never know. Heck, suicide? Depression can be hell. All speculation right now....we shall see...

Wow, amazing, and Vanity just recently. I was never a fan, actually I listened to allot of Hendrix at the time he came to popularity. But I was a very big fan of someone who was a huge fan of his some 30 years back and remember the wave. RIP

He was in my top 3 in high school. I distinctly remember seeing Under the Cherry Moon and Sign "O" the Times in the theater. So much to admire about him. Drug Free. Philanthropic. He was on his own plane of existence, with his own level of talent.

We throw around the label "Genius" like hand sanitizer these days, but Prince truly was.

                    RIP Prince.

Yes, he was one heck of a guitar player as well.

                    Too young.

Makes you stop and appreciate life.

I had 12 inches removed from my colon last year after a 2 inch cancerous tumor was found during a colonoscopy.

6 months of chemo finished up last month and Monday had another colonoscopy and I'm all clear ! No polyps or tumors. AMEN

Will follow up with another in a year.

He'd been sick for a while; maybe it caught up to him in a way that no one saw coming.

This is sad, though. 57 is a bit young to die, especially to such a talented person.

Very shocked by this! I was never the biggest prince fan but I respect him alot. As kids we used to always argue on the playground who was better prince or micheal jackson (i always choose prince) hard to believe both are gone.
