Hey, I liked el Topo, can't get more unusual than that, lol.

I rented Spotlight as well, watched that late last night. Started watching Bone Tomahawk...I liked what I was watching so far. Will finish it up later tonight.

Have you seen Tarrantino's Hateful Eight? Starts really slow, but man, it sure rewards you in the end...

The boy. 6.5/10. Pleasantly surprised with this one. Not what I expected.

Creed. 3/10. Second time I've seen this now and it only goes down in my ratings. Exactly what I expected and is nothing but a carbon copy of the first Rocky film.
The problem I had with Creed was not its production values, in that respect, it was a really good movie. My problem was with the lead actor (the Human Torch in the last bad FF movie)...he sure played a very unsympathetic character...he was always angry...no charm whatsoever...not likable like Rocky Balboa. That was the main problem for me.

Pretty good acting and a good story.
Not a mainstream movie and not everyones cup of tea.
Wow, that's the FIRST thing I've EVER agreed with you, lol.

        ***SPOILERS***

I felt not featuring the actual priests was a misfire...being on just photographs was not enough for me.

The erupt nonchalant fade to black in the end was a "that's it?" moment for me.

But as you said, good acting...and intriguing enough to grab your attention.

        ***end of spoilers***
