How do you feel about flying the friendly skies?

I only do it once a year from Toronto or Syracuse to Orlando, Florida and back. I usually don't mind the actual flight itself, However there are times where I get a pain in my ear so intense I curl up in a ball. Usually on descent.
I hate customs though. They can be as rude to you as they want and there's zero you can do about it.Comment

I LOVE IT! I travel 7 months out of the year for work an lesuire. Internationally as well. Ive been all over the world and Im grateful for it and will continue until I no longer can. Yes airports and language barriers and customs can be a problem at times. I don't like flying as much in smaller planes but I will if I have to. Sometimes passengers can be a pain in the you know what as well as turbulence but you get used to it. On a personal note Ive had others shun me because they don't have the balls to leave my hometown and recently had a argument with someone. I know its not for everyone but to answer your question yes I will fly the friendly skies!Comment

I use to fly in the late 80's and early 90's, but I had a bad experience with turbulence flying back from Austin, Texas back in 1993. We got stuck in a really bad storm and I lost count how many times the plane felt like it was in free fall. I stared at the front page of the Dallas Morning news with Troy Aikman's face on the cover. I told God, " If you allow me to live, I will NEVER fly again. PROMISE!" I've kept my word.Comment

If I could design & drive the plane, I'd be OK with it. It's a control/trust issue for me. I was in the Air & Space museum yesterday, which was fascinating. Engineers are brilliantly twisted. Some of the crap they stuck wings and an engine to and managed to get up in the air...Comment

I love flying. My first flight was to South Africa in 1983. Lasted 20 hours.
Next one will be in October. USA, yeah....

What bothered me more during my last US flight was the guy behind me, who had a cold and no handkerchief. He snorted his runny nose for nine hours non-stop and refused a kleenex. Thanks, dude, I hope your nose fell off....
