Sports news, analysis, rumors, statistics, predictions and roster moves around the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL and more.

"Even if Gawker appeals the verdict, it may still have to pay a bond capped at $50 million while it appeals, CNN reported. Florida law on this can be a little complicated. According to Politico Media, Florida’s original law stated that a defendant like Gawker could get an automatic stay on the judgment, pending appeal, if it paid a “supersedeas bond” in the amount of the judgment plus two years of interest. A newer 2012 Florida statute capped that supersedeas bond at $50 million."

          Apples and oranges.

Tried in different states with different laws about how judgments are paid out, judges that have different views on appeals, etc.

They've already said that if the verdict does stand after appeal that it'll put Gawker out of business since it's only worth about 80 mill so being an Inc. business the owner won't be held liable personally then after 40% atty fees and all other related expenses he might see something but nothing at all near the judgment.

I tried to watch Raw for the first time in a long time and found it unwatchable. I miss Saturday Nights Main Event!

Raw needs to have squash matches again. That way when they have a good match on tv it's not the same hum drum same ol same ol thing. That's what made Saturday nights main event so awesome.

Yeah it's been that way for a while. With how many good shows are on TV (better call Saul,Oj Simpson, Bates motel, etc) watching current WWE is a no go for me .
